It was the beginning of a legendary chapter for both the Greyhounds and the Keedy family. Jennifer’s role went far beyond being a coach’s wife. She was the emotional backbone of the team’s extended family. From Thanksgiving meals with players to late-night hospital visits with injured athletes whose families couldn’t be there, Jennifer never hesitated to step in.

Farming across both Jackson and Independence Counties, the Haigwoods have been a vital part of the Jackson County farming landscape since 1965. Through the years, they have grown more than just crops. They have cultivated a legacy rooted in hard work, family, faith, and community.

Cathy Nutt is one of those people. She moved to Newport in January, drawn here not by coincidence, but by the excitement and promise surrounding her son, Logan Nutt, as the Head Men’s Aviator Basketball Coach.
